This can work also. This is basically a
packaging option. The board is designed to accommodate 48V power
input either from the RJ45 or from the RJ11 jack. In our discussions most people seemed to
like the idea of providing the wall plate with RJ45 and RJ11. This will make
the installation look professional. Running the normal telephone wire inside
the house, along the base board is easy. If more people like it your way, we can
come back and support that also. It just requires slight modification of the
present supoerShot for RJ11 connector (instead of
round pin for power). Nimesh -----Original Message----- Eje is
frustrated obviously ;) Nish I
don't see this as a very efficient way of doing it. Why not as I suggested the
most obvious way Normal SB
POE -> Outdoor POE (outside with lugs to the ground) -> Radio
Then
basically nothings changing just adding something inline outside with a
upgraded powerpack and some grounding wire. This way no new cable or extra
cables for install I do not see the other way being excepted as a standard for
installs on my installs atleast I hope the old POE's will be available for
outdoor units cause I wont be doing client installs with power and electric
running to the POE Outdoor doesn't make sense to me. At one
point the POE from sb was rated up to 45v so whats the problem make the upgrade
kit a new Powerpack (48v) the inline ODPoe Pack and god maybe even an upgraded
indoor poe but to cut cost leave it the same one if you want. That way it's
POWER OVER ETHERNET not half way power over Ethernet this seems to be a VERY
wrong turn on SB's part please heed the advice and look into it with the devel
team before it's released use 2 pairs for the Ethernet and 2 pairs for the 48v
just like the axxelcera ATM equipment and that works fine. Then we can just
replace the power pack on the client, cut outside and in half and put the OD
unit in place like a cable joiner and add the grounding and walla problem
solved. Chris
-----Original

the BS will you. Yeah yeah yeah.. As I said earlier it's Now how
about fixing so the aB's are RFC compliant when handling TCP Best
