Sure I use Trango.Most of the seasoned wisp's have been using trango, 
alvarion, or canopy 5.x gear to compliment their 2.4 pops. They already 
have a 10 meg SU and AP. What they are releasing today is a lower priced 
residental 10meg  SU that goes shorter distnces and hopefully will get 
even lower in prices.
Trango is good stuff.

Smartbridges may not be an effective solution if you are talking about a
traditional mesh network, but if you insist, you are looking at what is
commonly referred to as two units "back-to-back" meaning what Alex is
saying. However, you need a hub/router/switch to accomplish this and

If subscriber#2 can get the signal from subscriber #1, then 
you can put another access point at subscriber #1 for 
subscriber#2 using client device to associate with.

Main AP-----Subscriber#1----------Subscriber#2
(aPPT)      (aBT & aPPT)            (aBT)
The channel & ESSID will be configured differently for main 
AP to subscriber#1 and Subscriber#1 to subscriber#2.

Opinions wanted, What would be the best way to use the 
smartBridges  products as a mesh network environment?

Per instance say the main AP is the airPoint Pro Total and 
subscriber #1  is 1/2 mile away and can associate with the AP 
no problem.. but subscriber  #2 is 1 mile away and can't get 
signal from the main AP. What would be  the suggested 
smartBrudges unit to use at subscriber #1 location to repeat  
to subscriber #2..? and so on..?

Is it possible to do this and not use a obtrusive antenna on 
subscriber  #1's house?

This is all pretty new to me but I'm ready to play!
