Points taken......the rants are because the equipment is defective and the design of their outdoor units is seriously flawed (i.e. no grounding solution, exposed/unshielded CAT 5), the manuf. won't give us our money back and they won't admit their equipment is defective and recall it. Replacing defective with defective is no good.
The release of their super POE unit is a good sign and proof as far as I'm concerned that they overlooked the lack of grounding as well as the ethernet induced static problem in their original design. As for me, if I continue to use SB outdoor units, they are all gonna use the new super POE as well as being put in a metal box to make up for the poor environmental design (no RF shield on the radio box and exposed CAT 5) of the units. Finally, it appears they've dicked around with the firmware (in order to band-aid to thermal issue on the chipset) and made the units unstable. Here's to hoping for better days ahead. Bobby Bounds Airwave Internet, LLC P.S. I'm a big fan of SB indoor products. ----- Original Message ----- From: "RFMS" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Sunday, August 24, 2003 9:49 PM Subject: RE: [smartBridges] Sticking up for sB > > > Michael, > > Thank you for doing what I was going to do as soon as I completed answering > more pressing mail message. > > Constant complaining is not the answer to any problem.
