In case this might help someone who is having the problem with the Ethernet side dying: I left NMS running all night with logging enabled hoping to keep my units alive. I lost contact with one of them a few minutes ago (the one we had to reset 8 times yesterday to get it back up). I started pinging the hell out of it the second NMS said it was down and I now have re-established contact with it. I don't know for how long. But if I have to leave the constant ping running until I get my replacement units, then I will. Has anyone else tried this?
Hope this might help someone, Gloria ----- Original Message ----- From: "sB Tech Support" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, August 25, 2003 3:54 AM Subject: RE: [smartBridges] Auto-polling to keep units associated > Our aim is do some polling to keep the unit "alive" at all times as some > claim this will help.
