On the same plate. Can you afford NOT to go and attend the training
classes ? Many of the questions I hear daily on this list is covered
in one or more sessions. How to saftly climb towers, how to install
towers, how to configure the units, how to do routing, administrative
tasks, hotspots, llc or s corp or inc, dealing with employees,
crimping connectors and weatherproofing just to mention SOME of the
things there are training sessions about.
Get the chance to meet people just like you share experience about the
equipment what works and what not. Walk the exhibit floor talk to
vendors and consultant. Find out about what is to come and what not.
Get a chance to hold that XYZ unit in your own hands and check out
that new cool antenna from ABC Corp.

The list goes on.
But also to also to answer your question. Each night is full with
entertainment and fun talking with other wispers over fee beers (many
vendors and consultants might get you a free drink). Sunday night you
get free complementary drinks and food paid by one of the sponsors (at
least that have been so in the past).

But then if you already know everything there is to know about running
a WISP (radios, routing, employees, business structure, towers, etc)
and you have the money to buy and test out all equipment out there and
constantly visits and gets news from every vendor in the wisp market
then you don't need to go.

The $495 is a 3 day full registration (you can access ALL training
sessions). If you only want to visit the exhibit hall then as a
part-15 member there is NO cost to you.
If you just want to visit ONE day of training sessions then you pay
far less then the normal $495.

PS. If your favorite vendor have a booth at wispcon then try to knock
them up for a vendor discount coupon. As a part-15 member and with a
vendor discount coupon you can get the entire show for $345. That
barely takes you into the exhibit floor area and maybe ONE session in
some other shows.

JC> $495 is for Affiliates. Affiliates were designed for WISPs where 5 or more
employees can all take advantage instead of paying $195 each.

JC> So if you have 7 employees who could all benefit from membership isn't that
a reasonable price? $1365 for individual memberships of these 7 employees or $495 for
all of them.
