Different SSID no roaming Derek trust me I
have tried EVERY option that you and SB has given me there is nothing that
I have not tried..
It progressively gets worse as I add more
clients.
1. I change the ssid on the APS to something
different and change like 10 or less customers CPE to match and the
problem GOES AWAY!!!!!!!
Tell me that is not an issue with how much
capacity the APPO can handle? I mean it sounds as though you all want to
lay claim just like SB that GEE it cant be their equipment? Have we not
all learned from the past that it has most the time been a issue with the
equipment Just think this stuff is junk when it comes to handling lots of
clients in an area thats congested with other 802.11 traffic and it just
plain and simple cant handle it. I am sure if SB would have taken our
suggestions almost 5 months ago so send someone out to investigate they
would learn a allot of how and what affects their
products!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, you are using different SSID's?
Are you set for roaming on the clients?

No different SSIDS and different channels
ones is on 4 one was on 7 and they have been working fine. They were
even working fine both on chan 3 so channel is NOT the issue. Everyone
is trying to read more into this then what I believe to be the problem
LESS users system is great MORE users system is crap

What antennas and channels are you
using? Same SSID's on both AP's?

Power is not an issue how can power
be an issue when the power strip is 2 inches away from the radio.
The radios has LMR 400 jumper going to a amp power supply then
50ft of LMR 400 going to the amp at the ant then from the amp to
the ant..
And YES I have tried the system
without any amps and basically I get 1 5 users
associated.

The toehr thing, as it was
mentioned in a differnet reply earlier, are you using 18VDC
power supplies? Are the AP's lacking the power they
need?

Slow down problems
We give up!
We cant add any more users to our
system total of 60 split between 2 APPO's 30 each at max. We
added 2 more today and now we have hardly any users
downloading and best we can do is about 300KBPS down... This
SUCKS! is it possibly due to all the smoke in the air which I
would find hard to believe BUT you never know.
What's the deal with the XO stuff
is it done it sure could be nice to have one to test and see
if it is worth $900.. I am very frustrated at not being able
to figure this out. It all points back to the radios (APPO's)
not being able to process all the associated radios to it? I
change the SSID so only a few people 10-12 can associate
to the APPO and there is NO pro problems. I allow all the
users to associate to the APPO and WHAM crap city throughput
goes to hell pings skyrocket just with one user surfing on and
off.. how can this NOT point to the radios inability to keep
up? Why would just idle radios associated to the APPO have
such a bad effect on the APPO?
I have 6 users ready to cancel
due to the crappy service I am getting from these radios I
don't understand how someone else claims 60 plus users on ONE
APPO and they are fine? what speeds are you offering what are
your settings on the APPO and the clients associated to it.
What ant are you using? any amps etc etc..
