JB> Try removing /boot/uImage.bin and then installing the kernel package.
Well, instead I moved it into a subdirectory, just in case something went wrong, and sure enough, something did Nov 7 08:19:15 jidanni1 kernel: [24350.885270] usb 1-1.1: Product: Neo1973 Bootloader U-Boot 1.3.2-moko12 Nov 7 08:19:15 jidanni1 kernel: [24350.885273] usb 1-1.1: Manufacturer: OpenMoko, Inc Nov 7 08:19:15 jidanni1 kernel: [24350.885276] usb 1-1.1: SerialNumber: 0000000 Nov 7 08:19:27 jidanni1 kernel: [24362.822433] usb 1-1.1: USB disconnect, address 27 I.e., with the new kernel USB starts then hangs up, as seen in the desktop's log above. No USB for me, unreproducible for you of course. Oh well, better luck next kernel. So now we attempt to repair the mess by booting into Non Debian. Oh well. OK, I moved the OLDER_UBOOT/* back in place and was able to reboot into Debian. (One must remember how long to hold the power button to reboot. Holding it too long will cause instant power off, and fsck mess.) _______________________________________________ Smartphones-userland mailing list Smartphones-userland@linuxtogo.org http://lists.linuxtogo.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/smartphones-userland
