HiI'm using CS3 here on my MacBook Pro with Snow Leopard and it all seems to
be working fine. Like Sam says there could be some features that don't work
and I just haven't found them yet!
I mainly use Photoshop and InDesign, but a little DreamWeaver and some
Illustrator as well.I do have a partition on my Mac with 10.5 installed just
in case so I can switch back if urgently required, but I've not had to do
this yet.

I'd say go for it... although if your friend is considering an iMac there
are update rumours around at the moment....
