Best to buy a Pantone Huey (http://www.pantone.com/pages/products/product.aspx?pid=79&ca=2 ) or spyder (http://spyder.datacolor.com/) and calibrate the screen automatically. The huey will even sit on your desk in a little cradle and constantly adjust the display brightness according to the ambient light levels.
