That price is insane
She was talking about in the cables
that run to her receiver/and or tv. lol :)
I was paying $70 a month here for
about 60 channels of cable, that was with digital cable. For the same thing I
could get triple that on satellite or more.

LOL..she doesn't have cable service..yet.
And her tv is only about 2
years older than her satellite service.
As soon as they can finish
running her outside stuff (she lives in BFE here in Maryland too..LOL), she
will have Comcast cable and internet. No more satellite or AOHell for
her.
I think she figured it out
that she will be paying 2 months for satellite and cable at the same time
before her satellite contract runs out. Plus with the dish trade in and the
specials Comcast was running..she is getting it for like $19.99 a month the
first year. I think that may be just for cable tv though and not internet.
I'll ask...
The other thing is she only
has her satellite on one tv..which means the rest of the tvs are rabbit
ears.
No way would I go for that
especially not for the expensive prices.
I will ask her..just out of
curiosity what she pays for her satellite service. She has told me before but
I can't remember.
100 bucks for 140
channels...that's cheesy.
Like I said we have about
500 channels give or take plus all the VOD too.
I know my girlfriend pays 70
something a month for hers.

were paying $100 for 140 channels. And if her picture is bad, it's in her
cable or her tv or it's not tuned in good b/c if she has direct tv then she
is receiving the same picture that e'one else in the US is getting. It all
comes from the same satellites. Not to mention the prices are all basically
the same. I'm getting over 300 channels right now for $80 and I just like it
better. No use arguing over it. E'one has their preference. Mine is to stay
away from Comcast if I can b/c in this area they suck ass. There are more
satellite customers around here than cable customers.

Sorry, but my sister's
satellite sucks ass. her pictures all have the ghost images, she can't get
local channels without that extra thing and her price is not
cheap.
Digi cable here for like
500 channels is like 70 bucks a month. Then you get a discount for having
internet and cable.
I have awesome pictures
and none of those problems she has had.
Plus..like I
said..I have my VOD, which I love..oh and my parental control..oh and I'll
take my faster than DSL and T1 performance too:

I've never seen anywhere
that cable had half the channels you could get on satellite, and usualy
you pay more for the half you get. PLUS the picture quality there is no
comparison.....
On price, on picture
qualtiy, on number of channels you name it. Any way you slice it, cable
can't compare.

My satellite bill right now for all the basic channels plus all
the premium channels cept for Cinemax is $81 a month. My digi before I
cancelled it with only HBO was $97 and I only had half the basic
channels that I have now. I can't even get Sci-Fi on digi cable around
here.

My sister has
satellite and hates it. Plus they have to pay extra for local
stations, etc...
She pays more for
her satellite than she would for digital. And as she says...most of
the satellite channels are useless anyway.
I've been to her
house and I wouldn't trade my digi cable for her satellite if ya
paid me..LOL
Plus I love my VOD

Comcast, cable can't compete with satellite period. Anyone
who's had satellite & digital cable, knows what a joke
digital cable is. lol No comparison, whatsoever.....
Every time I see the
local commercial about trading in your dish for cable's "buy back"

Sorry, but Comcast around here sucks. Put
it this way, I can get all the channels on my satellite
including movie channels for the cost of just the regular
digital channels w/no movie channels through Comcast and their
digital doesn't even have as many channels as the satellite. Not
to mention all the people that work for Comcast around here are
about as rude as can be and the last time I had them for cable,
they came to fix it once and wound up breaking the cable input
on the back of my son's tv and then said I did it and not them.
I have good reasons for not liking them. Now, however, I was
visiting a friend once in Eastern Va and she had Comcast and
they weren't as bad. I think it's just this
area.
