Disagree!

My first plane was a Gentle Lady and although I greatly enjoyed building it
and learning a lot it wasn't until I bought and built a DAW1-26 that I
finally spent more time flying than repairing. My advice is to buy and
build one of each. Both sets of building skills will be useful. The
DAW1-26 (Handlaunch size) can be chucked at a soccer field and you'll learn
a lot after only a couple of hours building time. The Gentle Lady is a
great highstart plane which you'll finish just about the time you get
competent with the 1-26. I still use the 1-26 on light wind days at the
slope and occasionally hook a boomer when the wind dies completely.

have fun
