I have been using a simple, easy to use homemade balance for mixing epoxy resin for the last 20 years. The balance is easy to make and is at least as accurate as a lab balance when mixing small amounts of resin. Best of all, it is cheap. I built a new one a few years ago and the total cost of material was less than $5. My balance was published in the June, 1997 issue of Model Airplane News. The only disadvantage of the balance is finding room to store the balance when not in use since it is 36 inches long. Mine resides on the shop window sill when not in use.
