I have to say MGS is what I like, and the guy who tought me to bag wings. I have some
west systems and it always cures yellow. MGS cures almost perfectly clear. The long
cure has a pot life of 4 hours great for setting up wings, you have PLENTY of time to
get things right!
CST carries it and I think it's about competetivly priced with west.

Subject: [RCSE] Fun with epoxy
I've noticed that I end up with a slightly sticky epoxy
in the pot, even after weeks of curing time. It was
never noticeable where I applied it, just in the pot.
My first suspicion was that it must be excess hardener,
so I added a smidge less in the next batch. Whoa! It
took about 2 weeks to hit the hardness it usually gets
in 4 hours. Thankfully, it did eventually finally cure
about to normal hardness after about 2 months!
I noticed that I had nearly twice as much epoxy hardener
in the can as resin. This is pretty odd, given that I
normally mix it by volume in a 1:1 ratio. So much for
the pumps. I carefully measured by another means, but
got the same results.
Okay, it must be excess resin. I modified the recipe
a bit and I'm so frickin' amazed! After 24 hours the
hardness has far exceeded what it normally would, and
it is still getting harder by the hour! It should
max out and be completely cured after about 48 hours.
Now that I got it all down pat ... I'm out of resin,
and the brand I've been using forever is no longer
available. Back to the drawing board with another
brand!
What's the best epoxy for the value? There is a West
Systems distributor in town, but that stuff is so $$$
Anchor Seal? Others?
