Not if what you are doing is trying to break the DS speed record as Craig is. I've seen the wing. You could support the wing tips and stand on the center section. And it probably wouldn't flex at all. Craig is one of several people designing planes to break the DS record. Surface flutter is one of the main causes of structural failure in DS record attempts and Craig is trying to eliminate that flutter.
