I had a Monarch 2m, white with yellow and black trim. It was attacked by a large hawk in the fall (not nesting season).

I've also had a completely yellow sloper that was hit by a hawk.

I've always tucked tail and ran when any bird was upset with my being up there. I've never in any way harassed any bird, figuring it's their air and I'm simply borrowing it.

Most recently, I was out at a new field. I'd launch and out of no where a very large red tailed hawk would be directly above me. He would follow me turn for turn always directly above me maybe 20-30 feet. After a few minutes the hawk, seemingly satisfied that whatever I was flying wasn't a threat, would move on. This happened perhaps 6-8 times. After awhile I never saw that hawk again.

Neat!
