I am using the 2.6.35 driver for the mcp251x (using the one in the
"spi-rewrite" tree) with the 8 patches found here:
http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg01747.htmland
fix for the 000 or 004 IDs.

Kernel is from the "spi-rewrite" tree and the only change is to bring up the
spi bus and running on an OMAP-L138 (
http://www.mitydsp.com/products-services/cpu-engines/mitydsp-l138F/).

I am bringing up can0 with "ip link set can0 up txqueuelen 1000 type can
bitrate 1000000). I have recompiled the can-utils found in the Socket can
SVN repo for the OMAP-L138. The repeated frames are produced when "cangen
-vv -g 0 -I 255 -L 1 -D i can0". The repeated frames can be seen on another
board and when it is sent to a Lawicel CAN dongle.

Thank You
