We have successfully installed spamd via the sendmail milter. But it is
sending the spam to the account targeted for the email. This is not the
expected result. We expected it to place the spam in a file, not forward it
on and tell them it is spam. The user still gets the email, notifying them
it is spam, which seems to defeat the purpose. From my understanding the
spam should be placed in a file. Is this wrong?

We have tried to place config files all over the box to get the desired
results without any luck. What and where is spamd looking for the config
file stating what to do if spam is found? Also I have not been able to find
what exactly goes in this file. Spamd is picking up the files in
/usr/share/spamassassin. 10_misc.cf did not seem to have any config options
for what to do.

Additionally, the box we have spamassassin setup on does not have any user
accounts setup on it. It is just a relay server that we want to filter out
spam on then send it on the "actual" mail server.

Any ideas?

Sincerely,

Robert T. Covell
