|front end, lotus notes doesn't have any filtering features... as i
|understand it, until the latest version of lotus notes, it wasn't even
|possible to stop spammers relaying through the servers to third parties, let
|alone in to local users...

The client has the ability to filter. You can set up agents to process
when new mail arrives and do much the same thing as Outlook and Eudora are
capable of. It is not as easy to set up, but it can be done. I would
agree that the MTA is rather brain dead, though.
