After switching once to a VC from X with ctrl-alt-F1, then back to X with
alt-F7 (or whatever), you can no longer ctrl-alt back to a VC. Often,
the X server no longer accepts keyboard input. Seems like the VC driver
isn't restoring the keyboard properly for the X server.
