Hello Dave, using Joshua's approach . I have changed the
entry in /etc/inittab to /dev/ttyS0 only I pulled a boo-boo
and entered it just like above ... So I booted into single
user mode & Viola ^c works here . ?-) I also editted the
entry in inittab to be correct again . Hth , JimL
