There two drives , an st38421a partitioned for solaris7

I am not sure what you mean by 'where /boot resp. / ended up' ?
If in respects to where on the disk that is above . If in
respects to where it showed up in the 'Silo configuration' it
did not show there , only the items above marked with a '*'
could be seen . hdb1 (**) above is in the list but below the
viewable pane . There isn't a scroll bar available for the pane .
Also during the installation it never asked for IP's or system
name , But I beleive I know why . The ether port wasn't
connected to a hub/switch . Is this correct ?
