Hi Eliza,

I gave it a shot to try to build a Etch debian package, but I didn't have
much success. I was using a package converter (alien) to make deb packages
from rpm. It appears as if the versions of gcc are significantly different
enough between the centos rpm I built and debian distro you use to make this
approach a possibility. I don't know much about building deb packages
directly(yet) so I can't simply build one for your platform.
