About the '-e 1' option and st330: I can not let it work on my laptop (thinkpad 560Z) running Linux Mandrake 9.0 (even modem_run does not work: I can not get the prompt after running modem_run). But, on my desktop computer, running Mandrake 8.2, it works. I saw someone in this list that could get the st330 work under Mandrake 9.0 ([EMAIL PROTECTED])
What does exactly happen in your case ? (with -v 2 option, you can have more messages).
