Now that many of you are in the process of thinking about standpipe flow testing I am hoping some of the vast experience of the board participants can be shared.
My dilemna is this. Seatte has not required the standpipe flow test for many years. This lack of enforcement is being reviewed by the Fire Marshal. My questions: 1) For those who have done standpipe flow testing, how often does the system fail and what are the typical sources of failure? 2) For manual standpipes how many of you bring your own pump, or does the local FD bring their apparatus?
