When protecting an elevator shaft of a (Otis Gen 2) or Kone (Eco Space) type elevator where the elevator equipment is contained in the shaft is protection at top and bottom of the shaft required if the shaft is of non-combustible construction?

Would Shunt trips (Flow Switch or heat detector operated) be required for both heads (locations) , or just the top of shaft location?

My initial thoughts are both top and bottom for heads, and just top of heat detector.
