Hello sprinklerforum,

I am open to suggestions on this one.

We have a customer in a 4 story residential building wanting to replace
the entire system due to rusted/leaking pipes in the old system.

They are requiring the system to be installed with CPVC piping.

They are requiring the ENTIRE system to be filled with Anti-Freeze
including the underground.

They are wanting to put the DCDA Backflow, Then the Alarm Valve, Then
the RPZ Backflow and Expansion Tank into a hotbox outside.

To me it looks like the use of Anti-Freeze bumps it to a 13 system
instead of 13R. The new piping is to be built into new soffits on the outside
of the building walkways. They have a Dry Pipe system now and do not want the
leaking problems they have now to recur in a few years like the existing 10
year old system. I am not even bring up the subject of Anti-Freeze
recovery/reuse when the system is tested or when the Alarm company does a flow
to test the WF switches quarterly. The Main Drain flow test is another
subject...
