Knox makes a Knox Cap for FDC's too
$$$ but when its mandated, it is what it is.

I recently saw a new Potter Roemer "Cap-It" device.
It locks over the FDC couplings instead of inside like the Knox-Box device.
I'm not recommending anything...I don't work for Potter Roemer, but does
look interesting.

Take a look at the images at the following links.

You will note that although the caps are missing, the female swivel
couplings are missing.

One of our inspectors found this yesterday. With a rash (at least locally if
not nationwide) of copper theft, this finding raises questions about brass
theft. This could become a serious issue.

I am curious if anyone else has run into this problem in your neck fo the
woods and what, if anything, you may have done to remedy it.

At this point we are not sure if this is an isolated incident or a city wide
problem.

Thank you for the assistance.
