A crew of amateurs were just arrested up this way, caught stealing storm drain and catch basin covers. Yes, heavy ductile iron covers and all for scrap value. Amazing.
Tom Yes we have just recently encountered this situation in Philadelphia. One customer is missing 30+. We have purchased some new female swivels but I'm not optimistic that there is enough standardization for this easy fix in most cases. I suspect that the entire fitting will have to be replaced. Theft might be prevented by epoxy in the set screw recess.
