Russell,

I'll echo what Cliff said. Be careful mixing terms. Miscellaneous storage
is more of an occupancy classification, and it only to be used when the
storage is incidental to other occupancies. If that is the case, which it
sounds to be, then the '07 ed. Of 13 clearly defines your protection
criteria in ch. 13. If you have a wide variety of commodities, you have to
protect for the most hazardous. Class IV sounds like a safe bet. The
actual parts may not be that hazardous, but the packaging sure can be.

Ron,

I would consider it to be a minimum Class IV commodity. If they have a body
shop and they store any parts for it, it would probably need to go to a
Group A plastic. Many of the parts for today's cars have a lot of plastic
in their construction.

Just my opinion.

What is the classification of parts storage rooms in a new car dealership
and where can I find this info? I am calling it miscellaneous but because of
the wide variety of commodities, I cannot figure out a class.

Thanks,

Ron
