I am curious as to what anchor/fastener you are using to mount the CPVC to the deck? I have a similar project coming up. Thanks, Dewayne

Shooting CPVC pipe to a concrete deck using 2-hole straps causes the pipe to deflect because of the larger outside diameter of the fittings. This deflection is causing, or adding to other causes of, Environmental Stress Cracking. Using a strap one size larger than the CPVC pipe prevents this deflection. I would use a 1" hanger for 1" pipe, 1 1/4" hanger for 1 1/4", etc. Bill Minkel, Designer Western States Fire Protection, Dallas NFPA Member #2578666 -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Ryan Peterson Sent: Wednesday, January 02, 2008 1:43 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: Hanger Size Question 2002, but 9.1.1.6 governs trapeze and I'm more concerned with general hanger size; such as, hanging 1" pipe with an 1 1/4" 2-hole strap. Can someone remind me where I would have read it?
