Back to part of the original question... There is still a suspicion that an otherwise listed and fire-rated gypboard wall system may have its listing invalidated (despite retaining the system FRR) if a plastic is laminated over the gypboard surface of this system. I wonder if the listing is invalidated despite the plastic laminate having the required interior finish ratings. If it is invalidated, then I believe this would be the place where an engineering judgment may come into play, as Steve mentioned in a thread a few days back.
I am not trying to "make work" for some FPE. I just want to be sure of the definitions and the paths of the process.
