6.6.7.1.3 (02) List the number of a TYPE sprinkler allowed in a compartment,
not the number of sprinklers. The commentary in the 02 handbook explains
that in previous editions of 13R standard response was allowed, but now is
QR. And this final line, "Additionally, when the exception for the standard
response sprinklers was first accepted in 1988, listed quick response
sprinklers were not as readily available as they are today".

In all my almost 40 years experience,I have never seen anything 13,13D, or
13R
limit the number of sprinklers in a compartment. There must be a
misinterpretation
on the part of the AHJ.It happens.
