You should only do this if the play nice route hasn't worked. But for this to be effective, use 4" or 6" pipe. Hang it the day before the next meeting across every major duct opening or trunk line, and then if your directed to remove it or stop work, get it in writing. Then send in the C.O. for de-mobilization and re-mobilization, work out of sequence and lack of co-ordination drawings, obstruction of your work space, compressive acceleration and a hostile work environment, lack of efficient sequence of installation, increased safety hazard requirements due to out of sequence work.
Then there's always the helpful "request an OSHA inspection" before your crew starts work to insure a safe workplace. Request the duct support load calculations if your expected to work above it, or get an extra to protect the duct from damage during your installation. I got a million of them. Start with the openings just outside the meeting room. A couple lengths under roof top openings should give them a clue that you're serious. In one day you should be able to hang a couple lengths in front of several of these, no outlets required, helps you make your point. _______________________________________________ Sprinklerforum mailing list http://lists.firesprinkler.org/mailman/listinfo/sprinklerforum For Technical Assistance, send an email to: [email protected] To Unsubscribe, send an email to:[email protected] (Put the word unsubscribe in the subject field)
