I think they stopped having forum parties because the supply of cheddar and jack cheese cubes was depleted by previous get-togethers. Perhaps next year in RI we could do a lobster roll buffet?

When I saw the post yesterday I couldn't believe I had missed him but based on his comments I'll see him next year in Providence. I understand that there may even be a "forum get together" like we had a few years ago. Not sure why they stopped having them. Back on the subject, I learned something invaluable during the NFPA 20 session. Based on the minimum submergence requirement in 7.2.2.2.1 (quoting 07 now) you need quite a bit of water left in the tank to accomplish this. I have never done a Vertical Turbine in an underground tank but you obviously have to oversize the tank to be sure that you compensate for this. Once again, another jewel from the conference. Keeping from making mistakes can be priceless as well. I would hate to have to pay for (or have my E&O pay for) removal and replacement of a tank because I had missed this in 20. Especially since this probably wouldn't be realized until the acceptance test when the client was ready to move into their new facility. Ouch! Aero had numerous attendees that were probably sleep-deprived on the way home :) glc -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Steve Kowkabany Sent: Tuesday, October 20, 2009 11:29 PM To: [email protected]; [email protected] Subject: RE: Underground Tank Refill Valve Pretty impressive. Also, go to Bermad's web site; they have two or three float-activated valves up to at least 8" diameter.
