I think you're on the right track. But find out the fuel load inside the trailer. I would compare that with the fuel load in a standard vehicle (I don't think the intent is to include the gasolene in the fuel tank)in a parking garage (OH1) with that for the combustible interiors in a manufactured home assembly (EH2).
Is it parked in one spot all the time, which is most likely if there is only one overhead door. If so, you could design only that area + 15 feet beyond to the hazard you select. Hopefully, that one spot won't also be the hydraulically most remote. Only one trailer will be in the building at a time. The rest of the facility will be electronic assembly and 14 ft rack storage of electric equipment. I'm thinking I have to look at this as extra hazard group 2 (similar to manufactured home assembly - due to the shielded fire potential). I am getting a lot of resistance from the architect, contractor and the owner that it is not that severe since it is only one truck and only occupies 10% of the space. The space is wide open with no enclosures. Am I on target with this or over-engineering yet again? Todd G.
