"not physically separated by a barrier of partition capable of delaying heat"
This is intended for "open" areas where there is primarily nothing but air between two different hazards. The appendix gives a storage example. My question is: Is the spacing of the more demanding basis also to be extended that 15 ft for an OH scenario into a LH area through non rated walls? In other words, do I have to protect light hazard corridors or bathrooms with 130 sq ft max sprinkler spacing since they are within 15 ft of mechanical, janitor, and recycling rooms? It seems like overkill to me to have to space heads in a portion of a corridor or bathroom at 130 sq ft unless there are rated walls separating them from the other hazards. Thoughts?
