My first thought when I read this was "What?"

Then I grabbed the calculator.  Sure enough, at 196 sqft spacing, 
requiring 19.6 gpm....

Using a 5.6 k-factor sprinkler the starting pressure is 12.25 psi, 
roughly, giving you 19.6 gpm

Using an 8.0 k-factor sprinkler the starting pressure has to be at least 
7.0 psi, giving you 21.16 gpm.

Slightly higher flow, with about 1.5 psi reduced starting pressure.  
Wonder how big an RA you have to get to before the increased flow starts 
to take it's toll.
