What Mike said, I know of a property in Memphis where it wasn't unusual to
get 5 gallons of water out of the drum drips, they had several hundred on
all their systems. Used to take one man a week just draining drum drips
every September.

It's also called a condensate nipple and you use both valves when draining
off the

water by removing the plug, leave the bottom valve shut, open the top valve

let the water drain into it, shut the top valve and then drain off the
water.

 

Keep doing this until there is no longer any water in the condensate nipple
(drum drip)
