If you have the space for a drift you can probably align the flanges. Then you can crank down the seven bolts and drive out the drift with the eighth and if you don't f... up the starter thread (you could grind a slight angle onto that bolt end so the starter wasn't right at the end) all should go well. I've watched one guy align mating holes on entire section of bridge decking this way.
