Most are probably going to bid it just the way the documents say and then
drop the Change-Order-Bomb later once they get the contract. When you're
trying to be conscientious it makes it hard to compete with those who are
willing to gamble for a change later or are just not knowledgeable enough to
know any better.

If we don't get low balled, as I know one company involved will do, Yes I
would like to have it. We have done many projects with this firm. I will
spell it out completely in my bid letter and when we get in the design phase
(if we get it) go after corrective measures. If history repeats itself, they
will end up doing it right, I don't think they want to take the time to
correct it right now as bid time is coming upon us.

What I can't believe is no one else has raised the question!!!!!!!!!

Bobby, there's a lot of red flags on this job. Are you sure you really want
it? (not that I am telling you how to run your business) Given what lies
ahead, can you realistically make money at it? And I haven't mentioned
liability yet.
