NFPA 291 Chapter 4 suggests that the flow test should produce a flow equal to the necessary flow for fire fighting operations or a 25% drop from static at the residual hydrant. It says right in the standard only one hydrant needs to be flowed on a weak supply to meet those conditions. Mike Morey, SET, CFPS Sprinkler Designer BMW Constructors, Inc. Any ideas?
