It has always been my understanding that any specific requirements in a sub
section refer the that section only IE: 8.4.7.2.1 only applies to section 8.4.7
Large Drop Sprinklers. I have had some AHJ's try to apply things like this
across the board, but I can usually get a clarification from NFAP to settle the
matter.

Subject: DRY HUMOR from NFPA

8.4.7.2* Galvanized Pipe.
8.4.7.2.1 Where steel pipe is used in preaction and dry pipe systems, piping
materials shall be limited to internally galvanized steel.

Please straighten me out! This applies to CMSA heads only?

Galvanized pipe, where used in a normal dry system must be figured at a C=100??

Thanks!
