My original question was not about Room Design, I was asking if interior walls came into play when laying out a remote area using the Design Density method. Thanks!

If you have a light hazard occupancy with a 30min hose stream duration requirement, I don't see why you should be expected to calculate heads on the other side that rated wall. However if you have and OH1 hazard, you should calculate through the 1hr rated wall but not a 2+hr rating.
