I’m specifically referring to manual pull stations for preaction systems
(thread) as well as other fire suppression systems (clean agents and kitchen),
and the location of those pull stations. The question from SL was where does
it say to put them and the place I am aware of that provides some direction is
NFPA 72.

I think people are getting different types of pull stations used for different
functions confused when it comes to what is required when and where.

It is not uncommon to have a manual pull station for fire suppression alongside
an abort switch (button) for the same system with proper signage above both.
