Looking for some clarification on sidewall sprinklers; We have a residential project that has a recessed sidewall head in the kitchen wall located 18" above a kitchen cabinet, the cabinet projects out 12" from the wall. Is this acceptable or does a soffit need to be built above the cabinet to bring the face of the sprinkler flush with the face of the cabinet?
