I just thought that it was always an acceptable practice. The situation is I have a new owner of a warehouse with an existing ground tank and pump house. We will be replacing the pump. The tank is only 3000 gallons short of the largest system demand plus the outside hose times the duration requirement. The city supply to the tank will be more than able to make up the difference. The underwriter is saying that the “reliable automatic refill” cannot be considered. I was wanting to show proof that it was acceptable prior to the 2013 edition.
