I have been asked to look at a location which has 2 rack levels of pallets storage over garage doors in a loading dock area (existing). The rack sprinklers are presently fed from the existing wet ceiling system. Due to freeze ups and mechanical damage issues, they would like to feed to rack sprinklers from an adjacent pre-action system. Is there any issue with this and how would I handle the hydraulic calculations?
