Dear Carlos,

To my opinion, the main cons with inline figures are
- when, in interactive mode, one wants to add progressively labels or
change font size, color etc. Inline mode is not convenient for such purpose.
- when one has to deal with multiple figures at the same time.
- when users want to zoom, span, change the plot properties or simply save
the figure as... (not everybody like using command lines for such purpose).
