9.8 Setting ``Reply-To: list at host''.
This is not recommended, since it leads to dissemination via the list of
messages returned from bad auto-responders and MTAs. Also, it may lead to
public replies to the list where personal replies were intended. In
addition, the original ``Reply-To:'' header is lost. If you do want to add
a reply-to list header, put ``reply-to'' into DIR/headerremove, and
``Reply-To: list at host.dom'' into DIR/headeradd.

So now I'm thinking I should follow this advice and leave the Reply-To: header as it is. Thoughts anyone?

I don't like Reply-To munging personally (I've had two things happen with it - accidentally posting private replies to the list, and cross-post stealing, where you try to reply to a cross posted mail where one list does Reply-To munging, so it prevents you from replying to both lists), but it's a very personal thing, and I'm not so anal about it that I unsubscribe from lists because of this policy.

I very nearly bit the bullet and installed Siesta/Mariachi (http://siesta.sf.net/) instead of ezmlm (Siesta is the only Free MLM that supports per-user settings for Reply-To munging) but it would have been very difficult to support Richard's strict security requirements, and the web side of things simply wouldn't have worked with his chrooted httpd.

Matt.
