Thanks for your reply...

There is no stop occurrence in the server log file...? Is there another
log I should be looking at apart from the server log and scanner
log...?

This problem goes back several years to the time I purchased the SBR...
I've tried running LMS on my desktop, a dedicated windows server, a
linux server and two different QNAP models - the first had LMS
pre-installed and this second one - a 251 required an install using
SSOTS.

So I am as sure as anybody can be that it isn't a QNAP/SSOTS issue...

...and I have nothing strange in file type settings - nothing disabled
and everything else is standard...
